In June 2026 delegates to the BMWED National Convention will be voting on a change to the bylaws to give members the right to vote.

1 Member 1 Vote for a Strong BMWED is a campaign led by rank and file members to change our bylaws to give every member the right to vote for union officers.
Currently all national officers as well as officers in most systems are elected by the delegates who attend union conventions, not by the members at large.
That means that most BMWED members have no say in who is bargaining our contracts and handling our claims.
In June 2026 we can change that. Delegates to the BMWED National Convention will be voting on a change to the bylaws to give members the right to vote.
